Sarah writes dark comedies and light dramas that depict the emotionally messy, heartfelt, in-between moments of life. She especially gravitates toward characters who are coming of age at any age. Recurrent themes and topics in her work include romance, the complexities of identity, grappling with the gap between expectations and reality, and niche pop culture references. One time, she was told that she writes with the voice of a quirky James L. Brooks main character, with a Zillennial edge… and, I mean, is there any greater compliment?

Sarah wrote for the Showtime TV series WORK IN PROGRESS, and has pitched to and developed with numerous production companies, including JAX, ACE, and Tribeca.

Her screenwriting work has placed in the Austin Film Festival, PAGE Awards, Final Draft Big Break, and several other major competitions.

She’s currently developing two features.

      • When super-liberal comedian Emma goes long-distance with her boyfriend and moves in with his dowdy, conservative, newly divorced aunt Doreen, the two women go on a journey of self-discovery together... and a journey to find the woman who broke up Doreen's marriage. Like Insecure meets Golden Girls meets The Odd Couple.

      • An OCD-riddled bisexual PhD student named Jana is pretty upset to have been ghosted by her first girlfriend, the overly confident doctor Ozzie — until she discovers that Ozzie actually died and has become a literal ghost who can read her mind. Now the two of them are stuck together and must dig into each of their sordid relationship histories to figure out why and how Ozzie died... and why and how they've been coupled up for all of eternity.
